Pieve di Caminino HR - Terms & Conditions
1. Deposit
A booking for a holiday becomes firm when a deposit of 50% of the holiday rental (to the nearest Euro) together with a completed booking form is received by us, and our Voucher is sent. Up to that time it is a request of booking. On request we may keep a 24 hour option. If the deposit is not paid on time we reserve the right to cancel the holiday. Please be sure to receive the Voucher, print it (together with the map to reach us) and show it on check in. If you do not receive the voucher, contact us immediately. 2. VAT
The holiday price includes Value Added Tax at 10% percent.
If rates of VAT change, we reserve the right to amend prices accordingly.
3. Checking in and checking out
Pieve di Caminino is a family own business, this guarantee its particular atmosphere: it is not a standard hotel, but a private hamlet, the access is granted just to reserved guests. That is why guests are welcome (check in) exclusively during our afternoon office opening time: 15.00 - 19.00. We do NOT accept checking in after 19.00 and even phone assistance is no longer available after that time. We do not guarantee access or any phone assistance after 7.00pm: please plan your trip to reach Caminino in order to match the reception opening time, avoiding road deviations that may slow down your trip, and considering those factor that may influence the length of your trip (traffic, time to rent a car, etc.). If you need to rent a car, please be sure to have it booked in advance. On the other hand, a check in before 15.00 may be welcome, but should be agreed in on time.
On check in guests should have with them their voucher and their identity documents for the registration (as established buy the Italian law). Only the number of guests stated in the voucher can enter Pieve di Caminino, and all of them are to be registered with their documents to stay at Pieve di Caminino. In case balance has not been charged before, that should be done at check in.
Checking out is within 10.00am and not later (if not differently agreed).
4. Final Payment
The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable not later then four weeks before the holiday begins, unless differently requested by us. Reminders or receipts will not be sent unless requested. If the full balance is not paid on time we reserve the right to cancel the holiday, in which case the deposit will be forfeited.
5. Cancellation charges
In case of a cancellation, the amount due to us is according to the following deadlines:
Since booking date till 90 days before arrival 20% of the total
Since 89 days before Check in till 60 days before Check in 50% of the total
Since 59 day before Check in till 30 days before Check in 70% of the total
Since 29 day before Check in till Check in day or no-show 100% of the total
A change of date after the emission of the voucher of confirmation is considered a cancellation. In case of earlier departure no refund can be requested. We know that there can be situations like weather, flight delays or other forces of nature that are out of your control. However, while we understand it is not your fault, it is not ours either. For these situations, we recommend looking into travel insurance as an option for your trip. Any reimburse request which does not match our cancellation policy will not be considered.
6. Our Right to Refuse
In case of force majeure we reserve the right to refuse booking inquiries and to cancel, modify or alter arrangements made for the Visitor. If a booking had to be cancelled, modified or altered by us we will make every effort to offer an alternative holiday. If the Visitor does not accept the alternative holiday offered, we will return to him/her any monies paid whereupon our liability will cease.
7. Change of Booking
There will be a fee of €50.00 for any transferred booking, and bookings may not be transferred within one month prior to the Visitor’s holiday. A transferred booking is from one suite/apartment to another suite/apartment or from one date to another. If the transfer also involves reducing the length of holiday e.g. from two weeks to one week, it will be regarded as a cancellation and will fall under our Holiday Cancellation Conditions.
8. Visitor Accommodation Limitation
Accommodation at all times is limited to the number of persons for whom the booking is made, and the maximum number in each suite/apartment must not exceed that stated in the reservation form.
9. Joint bookings
Where a group reservation is made, the booking should be made in one name only – that person (the Visitor) to be responsible for all payments and any damage. All participants has anyway to be be aware of the present terms and conditions document.
10. Services
All charges for gas, electricity and water services are included in holiday price. Heating is available only from the 1st of October to the 30th of April included. In case of indirect booking (by agency or tour operator), in some case heating may be an extra to be paid on departure. Air conditioning, available just in some accommodations (3 of them), is extra. Any extra not balanced cash on departure will be charged on the credit card used at reservation. If you prefer another card to be used, the new card has to be registered on arrival, in the reservation form.
11. Loss of Visitor Property
We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to any belongings, or for injury sustained by the Visitor or members of his/her party during their stay at the holiday property. We exclude liability for loss or damage to any belongings, or for injury sustained to the Visitor or member of his/her party during their stay at the holiday property.
12. Right of Entry
We and our staff reserve the right to enter any cottage at any reasonable time on reasonable cause.
13. Visitor Obligations
The Visitor undertakes to keep the premises and all furniture fixtures and effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the booking period (reasonable wear and tear excepted) and shall pay to us the value of any part of the premises furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged. Breakages and damage should be reported as soon as possible.
14. Property Cleanliness
The Visitor and members of his/her party are asked to leave the accommodation clean and tidy. We reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition.
15. Our suites
The accommodations are designed for couples who are looking for a particular charming atmosphere (honeymoons, anniversaries, relaxations breaks), or for small quiet families. They are not designed for large families, youth groups or student parties. Sleeping in camping mattresses inside the suites/apartments, or tents or even motor vehicles adjacent to the accommodation is not permitted.
16. Advance Bookings
Most suites/apartments can be booked in advance. It is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment, particularly over Tuscan very high season (June - September).
17. Access
The property has a car park for guests only and visitors are requested to park in the car park at all times except when unloading or loading cases etc. on arrival or departure.
18. Bicycles
If you bring a bicycle/s on holiday, please do not take them into the suites/apartments: we will grant a suitable covered outdoor space.
19. Swimming Pool and garden areas
The swimming pool and the gardens are shared areas: they are designed for relaxation, reading, rest and quietness. They are not game areas. It is strictly forbidden to play any sort of activity which may disturb other Guests. Swimming pool area access is possible only considering our swimming pool rules.
20. Complaints
Every care is taken to ensure that our suites/apartments are presented to visitors to a high standard. Should you find on arrival that there is a problem, or cause for complaint, please let us know immediately. Every effort will then be made to assist you. It is frustrating for all parties if you write after your holiday and tell us about a problem that could have been solved had we known at the time. We value every booking and want all visitors to enjoy their holidays and to return to Pieve di Caminino Historic Farm. We therefore decline any responsibility for complaints done only when your holidays in our agriturismo is over.
21. Forum
For any dispute arising from the booking and renting the place of jurisdiction is Grosseto (ITALY). The applicable law is Italian. The reservation implies knowledge of the general conditions of hire.
22. Privacy
In compliance with the provisions of Law 196/2003 on privacy and personal data, the company informs you that your personal data will be processed for purposes connected or instrumental to its work.
