This is a family-managed agriturismo set in our own organic farm, among centenary olive trees: it is a place for those who love nature, animals and history. We are in the Maremma, in the south-west of Tuscany, a romantic, still untamed land. We are a family of architects who have restored an ancient property, respecting all its authentic eleventh-century atmosphere. We invite you to come and experience the peace and bounty of our family estate, in summer perhaps ending a day of sightseeing by sipping a glass of local wine on your terrace while enjoying the Tuscan sunset over the olive groves - or in winter savoring your wine in front of a roaring fire of perfumed olive wood. In order to appreciate this atmosphere at its best, we intentionally have chosen not to install TVs in our accommodations.

        

Tradition says that the Christian martyr Feriolo died here,

killed by the Roman persecutors, and as a miracle a water spring

came out of the land,where he fell. This became an invitation

for all future settlements…

The centuries have gone by, but life in Caminino continues on with the same spirit.

            In truth Pieve di Caminino has many more antique origins, dating back to the age where the Etruscans used to work the copper coming that came from the mines in the Roccatederighi mountains: it is with particular interest that we like to try and think about the mysterious reasons why in the very remote past a group of men started to feel at one with the nature of this place and settled here.

 

           In Caminino different religions and worshipping were superimposed one upon an other: first Etruscan divinities, then Roman and finally Italic… for more than two thousand years people of different origins, cultures and traditions felt the need to settle here.
